Hi Cindy! Thank you for your question :) The golden metal used on our items wear really well! All we ask is that you keep the pieces away from lotions or perfumes. For the pieces we wear, we just keep them in the pouch it comes with and every one is happy! We hope that answers your question, but if you have any others, please let us know!
